DELAYED OPENINGS
When the opening of school is delayed, it will be announced by 6am. School will begin 90 minutes late. Elementary schools will begin class at 10:25. Students can start to arrive at 10:15.

SCHOOLS CLOSURES
When school must be closed due to inclement weather or other emergency conditions, an announcement will be made over the following radio, cable, and TV stations beginning at 6am: 

EARLY CLOSINGS
It is important to monitor weather conditions in our area. In case of an early closing, you should talk to your child in advance about what will be expected of him/her. Please be aware that schools can close because of snow, heavy rain/flooding, or even in extremely hot conditions. When school must close AFTER students have arrived for class, Hamilton elementary schools will typically close at 1:30 pm. A One-Hour Early Closing will result in students being dismissed at 2:30 pm.
